East Jutland metropolitan area ((デンマーク語:Byregion Østjylland)) or Greater Aarhus 〔http://www.aarhus.dk/da/omkommunen/english.aspx〕〔http://www.aarhus.dk/~/media/Subsites/Aarhus-Wind-Energy/Dokumenter/Working-and-living.ashx〕 is a geographic term for an area in Jutland and Funen, Denmark. The term denotes a functional coherent area linked by both infrastructure and labour across municipal boundaries. It is the largest in the world, and Arla Foods a Swedish-Danish cooperative based in Aarhus, Denmark, and the largest producer of dairy products in Scandinavia. Arla Foods is the seventh largest dairy company in the world measured by turnover. Among the cooperative dairy companies Arla is the third largest in the world. The harbour is one of the largest industrial harbours in Northern Europe and the largest in Denmark. The facilities are very modern and handle approximately 12 million tonnes of cargo (2006) and are therefore among the 100 biggest containerports in the world.〔(XII.Godsomsætning ), Århus Havn, 2000 〕 Aarhus - Capital of Wind Energy.
